Smoked Pork Chops and Rice For Christmas
Makes about 1 cup
Serve with a refreshing fruit salad of canned peach or pear halves nestled in lettuce leaves.
Top each fruit half with a dollop of cottage cheese, a wedge of cream cheese, or a spoonful of
whipped fruit-fl avored cream cheese for an instant salad.
Smoked Pork Chops and Rice For Christmas Ingredients
2½ cups chicken broth
1½ cups uncooked long-grain rice
1 medium-sized onion, diced
1 teaspoon dried parsley fl akes
1 pinch dried oregano
1 (10.75-ounce) can cream of celery
soup, undiluted
Dash Worcestershire sauce
Minced garlic (optional)
Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
4 boneless, fully cooked smoked pork
chops

Mix all the ingredients together except the
pork chops, and put half the mixture into
the slow cooker. Place the pork chops into
the slow cooker, forming a middle layer.
Top with the remaining rice mixture.
Cover with the lid and cook on high for 3
to 4 hours, until the rice is plumped and
