Favorite Garlic Bread For Christmas Recipe Ingredients
1 loaf French baguette
¾ to 1 stick butter, softened
Garlic powder, to taste
1 to 2 teaspoons minced chives

Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
Using a serrated knife, cut the bread on
the diagonal into ¾-inch-thick slices,
leaving the bottom crust intact. Using
a fork, blend together the butter, garlic
powder, and chives. Spread the mixture in
between each slice, covering the sides of
the slices. Wrap the loaf in foil.
Heat in oven for about 15 minutes, until
the butter has melted and the bread
is heated through. For a crunchy top,
unwrap the foil for the last 1 to 2 minutes
of heating.
Cook’s Note: If the loaf is very long, cut it
in half and wrap both halves individually.
Serve the fi rst half; turn off the oven to
keep second half warm until needed
