Chicken Dumpling Soup - Chicken Dumpling Soup Recipe Ingredients
2 tablespoons olive oil
1½ pounds chicken breast, cut into
pieces
4 carrots, chopped
2 celery stalks, chopped
1 large onion, chopped
4 (14.5-ounce) cans chicken broth
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon pepper
½ teaspoon chicken bouillon granules
Chicken Dumpling Soup - Chicken Dumpling Soup Recipe Cooking Process
Heat the oil in a large nonstick skillet
over medium heat and brown the chicken
pieces. Transfer them to the slow cooker.
Add the chopped vegetables, broth, 4 soup
cans full water, and seasonings. Cover
with the lid and cook on low for 6 to 8
hours, until the chicken is done and the
vegetables are tender. Add the dumplings
(recipe follows) to the soup. Cover with
the lid and increase the heat to high;
continue cooking for 30 minutes more, or
until the dumplings are shiny and set.
